📣 Announcing Build Recipes

Today was a big day at the virtual Branch office. We released the biggest overhaul of the UI to date. We completely re-imagined how build recipes work in the product. With this update, it’s all plug & play. Pick the tools you use, hit build and be done with it.

Build recipes are grouped based on categories under Build, Test, Deploy and Other. Build steps are your typical build tools like npm and Composer. Test steps are traditional test tools like PHPUnit and Cypress and linters like PHP CodeSniffer and ESLint. Deploy steps are both general purpose rsync and SFTP recipes and hosting platform specific. If your hosting platform is not listed, let us know so we can add it. You can still use Branch to deploy to other hosting platforms, just use one of the general purpose recipes (rsync, SFTP, Git push etc.).
